Cirque du Soleil will take its signature production Varekai on its first-ever UK arena tour in 2017. With a striking mix of circus arts and acrobatics, the critically-acclaimed show now features new acts yet to be seen in the UK, and will visit the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an extraordinary world--a world where something else is possible. Directed by Dominic Champagne, this production pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to those who quest with infinite passion along the path that leads to Varekai--“wherever” in the Romany language of the gypsies. Now in its fourth decade, Cirque du Soleil has brought wonder and delight to more than 160 million spectators in more than 400 cities in over 60 countries.
