Itzik Galili’s party piece for Rambert returns to Sadler’s Wells for a percussion-fuelled carnival of dance. 28 dancers, four samba drummers and a dazzling light show contribute to its infectious energy.
Rising star Ben Duke’s dance theatre creation is inspired by the music and spirit of Nina Simone, with a selection of her best loved songs performed live on stage.
The programme also features a celebration of the dancers’ virtuosity choreographed by Andonis Foniadakis, director of Greek National Opera Ballet, with a newly commissioned score by Ilan Eshkeri.
