The Great Gatsby

Six Weeks Only!

‘The honour would be entirely mine if you could attend my little party.

Yours Sincerely,

J Gatsby’

Presented by The Guild Of Misrule and The Immersive Ensemble, this smash hit production draws together creatives from Secret Cinema, Les Enfant Terribles, The Flanagan Collective and Belt Up Theatre.

It’s the roaring 1920s – an era of bootleg liquor, red hot jazz and some of the most swinging parties in town. Step in to a heart racing adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s seminal jazz-age story. The cocktails will be flowing, the music will be loud, one of Jay Gatsby’s infamous parties is in full swing.

Over two and half hours you will dance, chase and infiltrate your way through one of the greatest stories of the 20th Century.

Come and join the party.

1920s dress encouraged, dancing shoes required.

★★★★

‘Extraordinary… It is a piece of theatre that captures all of Fitzgerald’s poetry, and the stink that hovers beneath the perfumed lives of its characters.’

The Stage

★★★★★

‘The drama rises like a river soon to flood; the perfect soundtrack; everything has been thought of… A theatrical climax unlike any other‘

Good To Know

Is there a bar at The Vaults?

More than one. Five, in fact. They’re all great and open to the public whenever we are. The Network Theatre has it’s own bar, too, if you’re seeing a show there.

I’m hungry. Is there good food to eat?

Yes, and lots of it. The Balkano kitchen, featuring and array of delicious and warming delights, is open most of the time, and offers everything from hot snacks to full meals at very reasonable prices.

What’s accessibility like?

All venues, with the exception of the upstairs of the Punch, are wheelchair accessible – please contact Front of House in advance if you have questions or requirements. We can usually offer free Accompanying Personal Assistant/Carer tickets, so please let us know in advance if that would be helpful.

Is there a cloakroom?

The Cloakroom will be open Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm ONLY. Cloakroom is charged at £2 per item.

Can I take photos during a show?

Not usually, no. Please don’t whip our your fancy smartphone or camera during a performance unless you’ve been explicitly granted permission by the performers. Ignoring this can get you removed from the venue.
