Beautiful - The Carole King Musical

Beautiful - The Carole King Musical opened on Broadway in January 2014 and has since become one of Broadway's top-selling shows, and has been nominated for seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The show then transferred to London and this smash hit is now playing at the Aldwych Theatre on the West End featuring the musical's original Broadway creative team.

It tells the untold story of the phenomenal yet insecure music legend Carole King from her days as a schoolgirl to her dazzling rise to chart-topping superstar. The musical explores King's marriage to song-writing partner Gerry Goffin and their lively competition with contemporary song-writing twosome Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

An icon of her generation, Carole King sold 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow', her first hit, when she was only seventeen. Her extraordinary musical talent is powerfully showcased in Beautiful - The Carole King Musical with songs by both King and Goffin and Mann and Weil given new life on stage with the help of a twelve-strong orchestra and twenty-six performers. This heartfelt show bursting with the songs that defined a generation is sure to be as popular in the UK as it is across the pond and tickets will sell out fast.

    2 August 2017

The Carol King storyline and the music that covers this era of her life, was more than great, when taking into account a cast that was more than just ready to preform, but to give it their all. Definitely a show to be glad to say "Oh yes I've seen it"
