The Barber of Seville

Morgan Pearse and Eleazar Rodriguez return to the ENO as Figaro and Count Almaviva, respectively, in Jonathan Miller’s classic production of Rossini’s comic masterpiece The Barber of Seville.

Other cast members include long-standing, popular ENO artist Alan Opie as Dr. Bartolo and former ENO Harewood Artist Sarah Tynan as Rosina.
Hilary Griffiths conducts in his ENO debut.

A feast of frivolous fun, The Barber of Seville follows Figaro’s mischievous escapades as he helps Count Almaviva prise the beautiful Rosina away from Dr. Bartolo, her lecherous guardian. Fizzing with memorable melodies, this entertaining production combines the theatrical worlds of Italian commedia dell’arte and Whitehall farce.
