The Dream of Gerontius - By The English National Opera

English National Opera present their award-winning orchestra, the ENO Chorus and the BBC Singers in Elgar’s greatest choral work.

Conducted by Simone Young, the ENO Chorus and Orchestra is joined by principal singers Gwyn Hughes Jones, Patricia Bardon and Matthew Rose, and the BBC Singers, to bring Elgar's musical masterpiece to life. Using innovative designs by Lucy Carter, the emotional journey of Gerontius is told through music and light.

The John Henry Newman poem exploring Gerontius' heartfelt loss and hope in the face of death and his judgement before God is set to Elgar's sublimely dramatic music, creating a deeply moving, passionate and ultimately inspiring experience.
